Meeting the Battersbys

Such a pleasure and a privilege to meet some lovely people today.  Ron and Pauline Battersby and their granddaughter Kimberly welcomed us for afternoon smokeo in their home.
We spend two and a half hours talking about Three Creeks, looking through old photos and listening to stories about their Battersby family and the time they owned and worked Three Creeks Station.
Ron and his three brothers spent much of their young years growing up in the homestead.  Kevin Battersby can lay claim to being born in the Three Creeks homestead ... I hear he was in a bit of a hurry!

Pictured here are Simon's parents Colin and Judith Hilder, Ron Battersby (Pauline is taking the picture), John Battersby, Kevin Battersby, Unice Battersby and Annette Battersby.  Picture taken in Arkaroona.
Many thanks to Kimberly for helping to make this happen and we look forward to learning more about  your family and their time on Three Creeks Station.
